VISION STATEMENT

'Learning Together'

Learning from God, learning with each other

Our school is a caring Christian community which values every individual member. Our aim is for each child to feel secure and happy at school whilst developing a love of learning.  Each child is different and we encourage him or her to take pride in individual achievements and together to strive for excellence.
In order to achieve these aims, we believe it is essential for our school to work closely with parents, carers and the community to enable children to become life long learners and responsible members of society. Our school is a Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School and we value its Christian ethos.

Our Learning Muscles
  1. Concentrate
  2. Don’t give up
  3. Be cooperative
  4. Be curious
  5. Have a go
  6. Use your imagination
  7. Keep improving
  8. Enjoy learning

We celebrate these learning habits every week in 'Celebrate The Child' assembly.  The children may tell you about these from time to time!

Curriculum

The first years of education are extremely important for your child.  We ensure that the basic skills and knowledge in reading, writing and all aspects of literacy as well as numeracy and investigating the world around us are developed to the fullest extent.  Speaking and listening skills are actively encouraged and we provide many opportunities for children to become confident when speaking to others.  We aim to develop fully each child’s social skills and their personal self-confidence, as well as providing many wider opportunities for each child in their time with us.

Our long term plans can be found under Statutory information.

Find here our 'Big Writing' leaflet for parents and carers.

Parents play an important part in their children's education. Here is a link to Suffolk's Parent Hub.

Parent View

Please use the Parent View link to share your views of our school; as well as sharing what you really like about the school, you will be helping us to improve, as well.
