Life during lockdown – and beyond
We understand that many people are feeling stressed and uncertain, not only about what’s happening right now but what the next few months will look like. However there are practical steps you can take, and specific parenting tips and strategies to help you and your kids stay calm and optimistic. A free parenting guide has been created by internationally recognised parenting experts Professor Matt Sanders, Dr Vanessa Cobham and Dr Claire Halsey from the Triple P – Positive Parenting Program®. Tips include how to be a positive parent while managing financial stress, home-schooling, working from home, as well as helping your child cope with their feelings and stay emotionally resilient.

The Solihull Online offer of 4 evidence-based programmes covering ante-natal/understanding your baby/understanding your child/the teenage brain is available free to all Suffolk residents to register on these courses, starting by going to the website www.inourplace.co.uk access code WOLSEY.
Wellbeing Suffolk have produced a newsletter for parents which focuses on Parents's Wellbeing during these uncertain times. The newsletter is full of resources to help you find the information you are looking for, to support you.

Keeping Fit at Home
Exercise is so important and we are fortunate to live in a beautiful part of the country where we can go out for walks, bike rides and runs. If you are looking for other activities to do then please find below links to websites which provide other suggestions on how you can stay active.
Sportshall Athletics Home Pentathlon
The Home Pentathlon is a fun way for families to take part in adapted Sportshall Athletics events within their home environment. The guidance notes and online score system are supported by a set of Youtube clips which have been narrated by Olympic medallist Katharine Merry.
