Cross Country Competition

On Friday 30 September, we took a team of 12 year 5&6 runners to compete in cross country at Thurston College. They get credit first of all for turning up on a grey, rainy Friday after school! But then, with much determination, they started to come through the finish line with numerous high placings. Oliver was 1st boy, Dottie 1st girl, Ciara was 2nd girl, Wilf 3rd boy and Declan 5th. All of them did extremely well, which helped contribute to the overall school team award -which we WON! Some of the Y6s will now go through to the next round, held at the Royal Hospital School later this year. A special mention to Emmie and George K who were awarded with a certificate for Perseverance.
