Year 6 Residential at Bawdsey Manor

Year 6 have enjoyed a fantastic residential visit to Bawdsey Manor, embracing a wide range of outdoor and adventurous activities with enthusiasm and determination. Throughout the visit, the children have demonstrated excellent teamwork and communication skills, particularly during the sensory trail challenge, where they worked together to support one another while navigating obstacles wearing dark glasses. They have also shown great courage and resilience when tackling activities such as the giant swing, archery, abseiling and Jacob’s Ladder. During their survival skills sessions, pupils learnt how to build shelters, light fires and safely whittle wood, developing practical outdoor skills while working collaboratively. We have been incredibly proud of the positive attitudes, perseverance and encouragement shown by all the children as they have challenged themselves, stepped outside their comfort zones and made the most of this memorable experience.
