The attached pdf file has information on the academic years:  2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25 when statutory assessments were carried out. 

Information includes

  • GLD (Good Level of Development) – this is the percentage of Reception children achieving a good level of development at the end of Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Year 1 Phonics – this is the percentage of children passing the year 1 phonics test
  • Key Stage 1 SATS – this is the achievement of year 2 children in reading, writing and maths. Key Stage 1 assessments became optional in 2024. As a school, we continue to administer assessments at the end of Key Stage 2 to support transition and to monitor progress and attainment.
  • Key Stage 2 SATS – this is the progress and attainment of year 6 children in reading, writing and maths at the end of Key Stage 2.

Ofsted Inspection and SIAMS Report

Norton CEVC Primary School is recognised as a nurturing and high-achieving school, where pupils thrive both academically and personally. The most recent Ofsted inspection highlights strong teaching and leadership, with behaviour, personal development and early years provision judged as outstanding. Pupils are engaged, confident learners who demonstrate excellent attitudes to their education. The SIAMS report reflects the school’s strong Christian vision, which underpins a caring, inclusive community where every child is valued and supported to flourish. Together, these reports recognise the school’s commitment to high standards, positive relationships and a well-rounded education.
