Year 3 Cambridge Trip 14.02.24
On Wednesday 14th February, Comet Class went to Cambridge to visit both the Egyptian Gallery at the Fitzwilliam Museum and Central Mosque.
The children spent the morning at the museum, looking at how to decipher an Ancient Egyptian object and thinking about what the artefact could tell them of what life was like for ancient Egyptian people. The class also looked at coffins and items from Egyptian peoples' tombs. After lunch the class travelled across the city to Central Mosque, where the children had the opportunity to learn about Islamic prayer, ask questions and have a guided tour of the mosque.
Everyone enjoyed the day and it was great to hear the children sharing knowledge and applying facts and information.
