  • Mothers' Day Tea

    Tue 26 Mar 2019
On Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 March the school hall was filled with laughter and smiling faces as children shared tea, sandwiches and cake with their mothers to celebrate Mothers' Day. Mrs Rushworth, school cook, and her team did a fantastic job of catering for over 200 people over the two days.
  • Bishops’ Pilgrimage 2019

    Fri 15 Mar 2019

On Thursday 14 March we were invited to to be part of The Bishops' Lent Pilgrimage as they walked from Southwold to Stowmarket, don't worry we didn't walk that far!

All the pupils warmly welcomed the Bishops as they entered Stowlangtoft by singing 'We are Walking in the light of God' and then walked with them across footpaths to Stowlangtoft church.

It was so lovely for the school to come together as a community, and as a church school recognise important events in the Christian calendar. We were very fortunate to have Reverend Katherine visit the children in school and spend time in each class discussing what a pilgrimage is and why people do it.

The children were also delighted to be mentioned in the Bishops blog the following day. See the link below

  • World Book Day 2019

    Fri 08 Mar 2019

On Thursday 7 March the school was certainly full of colour and smiling faces!  The children had a lovely World Book Day doing a variety of activities linked to reading.  Key Stage 1 and Early Years particularly enjoyed a carousel of activities in the different classes whilst in Key Stage 2 the children created exploding books.

Children and staff did a fantastic job of coming to school as their favourite book character and as a school we are really keen for all children to experience quality literature and develop a real love of reading.
