  • Key Stage 2 Hinduism Day

    Tue 25 Jan 2022

On Tuesday 18th January, Indriyesha and Krishna from Hinduism Education Services in Nottingham visited Norton to give the children a first-hand introduction to Hinduism.

The children had the opportunity to dress in traditional costumes, such as saris and prayer shawls and explore artefacts. They learnt about the Hindu Trimuti, meditation, respect and witnessed some devotional chanting. The children had the  opportunity to ask Indriyesha and Krishna questions which they did with real interest. It truly was a wonderful experience and the children learnt so much about Hinduism.

  • Rojo Christian Values Display

    Mon 24 Jan 2022

The children have been busy at the start of Spring term creating a colourful display linked to the school's Christian Values. Each child had the opportunity to draw a picture reflecting the values: perseverance, wisdom, courage, compassion, respect and community. Six pictures were selected to represent each value. All year groups then had the opportunity to work with Jackie Campbell, from Rojo Art, to paint a leaf, lettering or draw a picture using acrylic paint. I am sure you agree the result is wonderful and it has been lovely to see the children pointing out their piece of art work. It is also lovely to see the school coming together as a community to produce this display.
