Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Planet Class had a fantastic day at Framlingham Castle. The children were superb and had lots of fun. We were able to name the different parts of the Castle and think about what it would have been like to live there.
Year 5 had a wonderful trip to 'It's Rocket Science'. It was a fun-filled science day with something for everyone. We did lots of investigating and experimenting, and learnt lots of new things about Earth and Space.
We could not have wished for a better day for the children to be introduced to the Scrap Shed. Several years ago the school had a vision, after seeing the delight on the faces of Year 4 children on a residential using a Scrap Shed, that this was something that the children at Norton would thoroughly enjoy.
Having shared the vision with parents and pupils, a family business generously and kindly donated the shed and the kit inside.
The Scrap Shed is a great way for children to be imaginative and create whatever they like. This is all child-led play and it helps children with their development and exploration. It also saves the environment!
During the introduction, the children had an opportunity to explore all the materials, work together and to discuss the importance of being safe when taking risks! I think the children are going to have such fun using this equipment.
