  • Year 2 trip to Framlingham Castle

Fri 23 Sep 2022 Miss Valentine

Year 2 enjoyed a trip to Framlingham Castle linked to their History learning. The children identified different parts of the castle, did a castle tour and wall walk. We also tried our archery skills to see how they would have used archery in battle.

  • Year 6 Cross Country Competition

    Fri 23 Sep 2022

Year 6 put on a super performance in this cross-country heat, finishing as the 2nd placed team on the day. Rupert and Ted finished 3rd and 4th respectively out of a field of nearly 130 children, with Caitlin not far behind. Rupert and Caitlin both received bronze medals for fastest boy and fastest girl.
There are 4 heats like this happening in the area and we are hopeful that we have a few children in the top 10 overall who will qualify for the second round in Ipswich.
There were so many brilliant individual performances, including Harry B and Evie W who received a certificate for showing extra special determination. It was a super day out and so nice to see so many of Mrs Terry's running club doing really well too.

  • Year 3 Gallowfields Wood

    Tue 20 Sep 2022

Gallowfields Wood in Haughley was the destination for our Year 3 Class as they entered the woods to become hunter gatherers for the day. The children had the opportunity to cook over an open fire, build shelters, create Stone Age tools, weapons, pots and jewellery and explore the woodland looking for sources of food. The activities were arranged by Wild Play and the children had a wonderful time.

  • Year 6 Sports Festival

    Tue 13 Sep 2022

Supernova Class had a fantastic time at TCC this morning, joining Year 6s from many other schools to take part in team-building activities. Mr Mabbitt challenged the children to talk to at least one other new person and everyone managed this, which was good practise for next September. A special mention to Harry M and Connor who were recognised by another teacher for their team spirit, supportiveness and encouragement of others.
