Year 6 had a fantastic time this week at the PGL centre, Bawdsey Manor. The children had the chance to experience a huge range of outdoor adventurous activities, and really pushed themselves out of their comfort zones. Please check out our Class Dojo 'Class Story' for the full collection of photos - here is just a taste:
Year 1 visited St Andrews Church in Norton where Reverend Katherine helped the children to experience what a christening would be like, linked to their RE learning. The children took a baby doll from the classroom, we had parents and godparents for the baby. At the Church we re-enacted a Christening with the class baby.
On Wednesday 13th October, Comet Class visited Gallowfields Wood in Haughley for a hands on Stone Age day. They had the opportunity to cook over an open fire, build shelters, create Stone Age tools, weapons, pots and jewellery and explore the woodland looking for sources of food.
On Tuesday 5th October, we visited Norton Baptist church to celebrate Harvest. The children shared songs, poems, art work and excerpts from children's literature. As part of the service we collected food to donate to Stowmarket Foodbank. The Worship team selected this charity as they felt it was important to support those in need in our local community.
