Invaders and Settlers Spring 1 Topic Homework

Year 3 worked incredibly hard on their topic homework this half term. We had a wide range of tasks completed from sketches of Anglo-Saxon villages, Anglo-Saxon God and Goddess fact files, exciting newspaper reports about the discovery of Anglo-Saxon artefacts, maps of the UK showing the seven Anglo-Saxon kingdoms to incredible artefacts such as brooches, shields, helmets and swords. Here is a selection of some of Year 3's impressive homework!

Our trip to West Stow

Year 3 and 4 enjoyed a wonderful outing to West Stow at the beginning of February. Children had the opportunity to explore a range of artefacts, try on some Anglo-Saxon costumes, explore the village dwellings and learn interesting facts during question and answer sessions with our tour guide.

Below are a few pictures from our great trip!

P.E

In P.E this half term, with Mr Caulder on Friday afternoons, the children will be creating and performing a gymnastics sequence, involving a range of rolls, jumps and balances. Year 3 will also work with a Premier Sports leader on Thursday afternoon where they will learn fencing.

Our P.E sessions this term will be on a Thursday and Friday afternoon, please could you ensure that your child has their P.E kit in school on these days. If your child has long hair, this needs to be tied back and jewellery removed.
