Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
On Friday 4 February, on a very wet day, the whole school was involved in planting a micro forest on the school playing field. The planting took place along the bottom of the field, leaving plenty of space for sports.
The trees were kindly donated by a local foundation and their staff helped guide and support the children as they planted their trees We were fortunate that the number of trees being planted meant that each family were able to plant a tree and it was great to see siblings working together.
It will be exciting to watch these plants grow in the coming years and to provide our own mini forest eco system.
Our Junior Road Safety Officers, Lizzie and Logan, asked the children to take part in a competition organised by Suffolk County Council Highways. The competition was to design a poster to highlight the role of operatives working on Suffolk’s roads and the challenges they face. Suffolk County Council received a number of fantastic entries and to our delight Ted Mabbitt was the winner for our educational area, his design can be seen below. Mr Peter Ingram, from SCC Highways, kindly came into assembly to present Ted with his prize, a £25 gift voucher. The school was also kindly given a £75 voucher which the School Council will choose how it is spent.
